Hey ya'all. Figured I would sound redundant with the sunny forecast so i took yesterday off and finished 3 hours worth of homework (second day). Luckily you Portlanders are giving me something to talk about, so lets have at it.
PORTLAND, OREGON- Today will shape up to be b-e-a-utiful, with highs hovering around 80, however, off shore there is a pretty strong storm that is lifting to the north, but will break down our high pressure and give us chance of shower and clouds. Then BRIEFLY high pressure builds back for your friday. Then things get a little dicey. There is a front approaching the OR/WA coast friday night and into saturday, however, computer models have it stalling around the oregon coast then moving N. This will bring showers to Portland for saturday, but not the full brunt of it. Highs for your labor day weekend....65-69 :( At least it won't be sunny while you're sitting in class!
Utah Homeboys----I GET TO SAY SOMETHING! So high pressure will hold for the next day or so, but then Moisture for S Utah will generate possibilities of TStroms. I am hesititant to say you'll see any, but since you guys are located right next to the mountains the possibilities are there. Mountains and higher terrain are much more susceptible to TStorm since you can get an Isentropic lift with the mountains. (Vocab word) Ha let me know if you see any Thunder.
East Coasters- We are all looking great. Highs towards 80 this week with a bit of cooling for the weekend. Especially here in Vermont, expect highs this weekend in the low 70s but sunny skies.
FuN FaCt Of ThE DaY: At any time, there are about 1,800 thunderstorms occurring in the Earth's atmosphere.
