Hey everybody, met with the local TV meteorologist on friday which was very neat. He and I are going to coordinate forecasts and graphics when I start doing UVM TV weather. Heres a look at the start of the week
Portland:You know there is good weather on the way when even the coast is reaching the 80s. STRONG ridge builds in and temps heat up. Hottest day being tuesday with temps are 92. For today expect morning fog due to the moisture yesterday, then sunshine with a high around 78.
Utah:A cold front passing over the state will drop temps significantly, however the moisutre associated with this front is stay to the east in the centeral plains. Expect mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s for the monday. Tuesday almost identical, maybe a few degrees warmer. Hope that duck game didn't bring down the UTES, still a fan.
Denver:OH BOY. Talk about a COOOOOOL off. The brunt of the cold front mentioned for Utah will be passing through denver around midnight tonight. This will drop temperatures down into the...50s...strong Northwest winds will cool you guys off. Expect showers in the morning but then dying off. Tuesday we warm up to 60 but still some unsettled conditions with chance for showers.
NYYY:A weak shortwave will pass through tomorrow to bring a slight chance of showers. More increased clouds than today. Temps will remain in the upper 70s for most of the state however this unsettled weather looks to remain in your area for a little while.
Boston: My place to be as of now. Sunny today ad tomorrow with highs in the mid 70s. The weak shortwave i was talking about in NY is trying to make its way E but when it gets to your area, really not much left. This means increased clouds for tuesday but still highs in the mid 70s.
VT:Monday looks gorgeous. High of 76 and mostly sunny. System comes out from the SE monday night into monday which will bring rain. We will be getting a strong south wind associated with this storm which will moderate temps and keep them in the 76 region. With this front expect some heavy showers and even a possible TSTORM. Which would be fun to see. Unsettled weather in place til Thursday.
FUN FACT OF THE DAY: A lightning bolt is five times hotter than the surface of the sun!
